Vegetarian Vs Non vegitarian

Being a vegetarian or non vegetarian is purely based on the individual preference. No one got the right to influence another in this case. If you don't like to eat specific meat you can stay away from it. But it is not good to look another person in a bad way who eat the meat which you do not. And here i am not talking about which is healthy or unhealthy.

As a Sri lankan few months back & even now we get to hear/see most of the people do protest against eating beef. The major point in this is, the people who protest are not vegetarian(majority) they do eat fish, chicken,sea food,etc. But they are against eating beef.  Is it because cow is big in look & chicken or fish is small in body size? 

Are u a vegetarian or non vegetarian? what would be your answer. I have seen many people who answer "yes i am vegetarian, i eat only egg & fish". I don't know what to say for those people. 

All the creatures on this earth rather universe are same. Fish/chicken/cow/goat or whatever the animal,when dying all might feel the same pain. Since fish is small it doesn't mean fish will get less pain when dying. what sort of logic is this.

Christians mostly eat pork, beef, chicken anything. But Muslims mostly do not eat pork. Hindus & Buddhist do not eat beef. It can be their religious view or personal perception or whatever you call i got no objection or questions in that. But since you don't eat particular meat you should not look bad at the other person who eat the stuffs which you do not.. I have seen many people here ins sri lanka doing that. For example a person who don't eat pork or beef see the person who eat pork/beef in a bad way. Even they feel bad to eat any other meal from the house which they cook pork/beef. Is it correct?

Some countries they used to eat rat,cockroaches, snake, etc. Since i am not used to eat those stuffs i cant say those are disgusting or i hate the people who eat those. May be they feel the same for chicken, fish, etc.

As i said earlier it totally based on individual wish or perception. If you don't like stay away. But please do not try to control another person's habit. 

I am a non vegetarian and to be honest sometimes i feel bad for eating non veg. That sometime is not the time when i eat (lol) . When i eat i forget all & i used to eat. other times only feel bad. But i don't think i can ever be a vegetarian because i hardly prefer vegetarian dishes :)

Secret to grow Rose in 7 Days.

If you like flowers such as roses, this amazing thick can help you grow them successfully from a rose stem. With the help of this unique trick, you can have a yard full of roses all summer long.

Ingredients:

• a cut down rose
• a potato
• a plastic bottle
• soil
• a flowerpot

How to make:

Start by removing all the leaves from the stem then cut it at an angle of 45 degrees.

With the stem, make a hole in the potato then shove it in. Make sure it’s well fixed and doesn’t move.

Fill 2/3 of the pot with soil then put the potatoes in.

Fill the rest of the pot with soil but make sure it surrounds the rose.

In the end, cut down a plastic bottle and cover the rose with it. You aim at getting a greenhouse effect.

You should see the first signs of your rose growing again in a week. Enjoy your rose-filled summer garden!

This is one story which i read & thought to share since it has a good meaning....

One day, the farmer's horse ran away, and all the neighbors gathered in the evening and said ‘that’s too bad.’
He said ‘maybe.’
Next day, the horse came back and brought with it seven wild horses. ‘Wow!’ they said, ‘Aren’t you lucky!’
He said ‘maybe.’
The next day, his son grappled with one of these wild horses and tried to break it in, and he got thrown and broke his leg. And all the neighbors said ‘oh, that’s too bad that your son broke his leg.’
He said, ‘maybe.’ The next day, the conscription officers came around, gathering young men for the army, and they rejected his son because he had a broken leg. And the visitors all came around and said ‘Isn’t that great! Your son got out.’
He said, ‘maybe.’

Lesson: you never really know in which direction progress lies. Life unfolds not always as we expect it to.

In life when some incidents happening, at that time we feel happy or sad. But there are times in future for the same incidents  we react in the opposite way. Somethings which feels good now will hurt us on a later day. So most for the things "may be" answer will be a good one. Because we do not know what will happen in the future.

Taj Mahal is a magnificent monument which stands at the heart of India Agra.Also it is one of the most interconnected word with Love. Every body in the world knows Taj mahal as a symbol of love and Shahjahan build it for Mumtaz. But most of the people do not know the story behind it.

If go bit deep to to this story there are lot of confusions in this. First of all as per the history mumtaz was shahjahan's 4th wife. Some indicates that he had nothing more than the status of marriage with his other wives. Anyways shahjahan built it after Mumtaz died and She died In Her 14th Delivery ! 

Until that part it is okay and I have no confusions. But if we search more about this couple some books stated that Mumtaz is Shahjahan's 4th wife out of his 7 wives and he married mumtz's sister after she died. This was happened almost 400 years before.So we do not know the truth. We can analyses only based on the historical stories. 

In case if he married Mumtaz's sister after her death then how can we say there was a true love ?? Confusion arising at this point. We cannot measure the true love by the monuments what he build for his wife. It should be shown  in the way how he lives as well.

Every single working places have promotions. Most of the employees fight for it. Because mostly every one like high position & high salary. 

Promotion time period is one of the conflicting time period in any organization. Every single person has their own talents, qualifications & expectations.

This time management should have the capabilities to select the right person for the right position. Do this really happening in our organizations?? Do the right person get what they deserve?? Do management make decisions without being partial??

Mostly what happens is the other way. Hardly the right person get the right thing. Most of the time management make partial decisions. In our day to day life we can see there are people who always find faults from others & tell that to the management. By doing that they try to become one of the favorable persons. Most of the times the people who are doing so are the once who has many faults inside them. 

But nowadays most of the company managements do not realize it. All believe verbal power than that quality of work. 

My personal concern is, promotion should not always based on the talent or the qualification of the person. The main thing is the team work & how well a person can handle the human resource. But mostly management concern is about the working capabilities. They fail to see how well they can associate with others & how well they can get the work from everyone with the good HR skills. For this the person should be down to earth.

Most of the people become big headed as soon as they get a promotion. May be they are good in work. But they are not a good team player. They do not know to motivate the fellow employees & to maintain  good relationship. A person can think i know everything & i do not need to go to others at any time. But even a chairman of the company may need the help of a normal employee at times. 

Every one should consider this & need to make a friendly working environment where every one can work as one big family. A good team work can achieve many things.

Sri Lankan University Education System

When some one talking about the university education the first thing which every one asking before the studies "what about the ragging? ". That much the word ragging has been interacted with the university education. When a person enter to the university the first thing which he/she should undergo is ragging. I am not totally against for ragging. Just requesting to sing a song or telling some funny things are acceptable. I can remember still some of those things which i did as sweet memories. But physical ragging is not acceptable. This has taken out some human life's. The main reason which the rangers used to tell is " I have been ragged. So i want the same pain the others also to undergo".  Whoever the person think about others will never tell that word. He/she will think what ever the pain/ troubles they went thorough should not be undergo by others & will try to protect & help others.

Moving towards the education side, my personal opinion is it should change completely. Here specifically i am mentioning about the commerce & management faculty which i studied. Because to comment about other faculty studies i do not have a clear picture about their syllabus or education system. Mostly for Art & commerce & management faculty this is same.   

If we take commerce & management faculty the specialized degree program scheduled for 4 years. As per my knowledge if it is scheduled in a proper way & computerized 2 years more than enough. This 4 years include all the vacations, strikes, etc. When come to higher education i think vacation for nearly a month is not necessary as schools. Also the syllabus should focus more towards the current market & it should change accordingly. 

The people who got the highest marks in their advanced level examination only entering to the university. But with the way some people behave tend to think do they really educated & how they studied. I do not know whether that kind of people always like that or that change after entering to the university. With some people cannot see the professionalism at all. They behave like thugs. But i have seen many people when entering they are good & they come from rural areas. After entering in few months times they completely change. They give the priority to the other junk activities such as politics, fights & not for the education. I used to think many times why this people cannot focused only on studies. Because we enter university to study. Not to do strikes or to fight.

Currently most of the people have a bad impression about the graduates. Cannot tell a wrong about the people who has such impression. Due to the behaviors of some students any one will tend to think so. After completion of degree even if they do not get a job they do picketing. Some companies do not like to hire graduates due to this unprofessional behaviors of some graduates. For this cannot blame the market sector. The Undergraduates/graduates who were part of such cheap behaviors should take the sole responsibility. 

Basically overall the university education system should change. ( But not by introducing military training)

Infertility & Divorce

I thought to write about this after hearing an incident from a friend of mine. Generally when we talk to friends so many things will be shared. Likewise recently when i was talking to a friend of mine she was telling me about her sister & the problem what she facing currently. 

She has already told me that her sister & brother in law had the affair for 8 years before marriage. They have married about 3 years back & have no kids yet though they have tried so many medicines. Because of that they have both have problems always nowadays & it moved up to divorce.

When she told that, what i thought was what happened to the love what they built from so many years? What happened to the understanding & the bond? I agree that if get married all will like to have kid/kids. But unfortunately some cannot have that. Of course any one will feel sad. But cannot have a child is a reason for divorce? None of them can be blame for it. Its none of their fault. Also i do not think the only purpose of marriage is to have a kid. The success in marriage is understanding the spouse & being together in all the happiness & sadness. 

If you do not have a kid & if really want a one you can adopt a child. To whoever born all are kids. No need to differentiate them. We can treat an adopted child as our own. But all does not like that. Nowadays there are so many ways & medicines to cure infertility. Still if all unsuccessful i do not think divorcing the partner is correct. At a time like that all will blame especially the lady. But that is one of the time the spouse can show the real love & caring. Without ignoring if he/she can treat her husband/wife in the same way that is greater than having a child.

What is Psychological pricing & how it affect the buying power...

Psychological pricing is a marketing/business concept which is used to influence the consumer buying power. Customers respond better to certain type of prices & they are more likely to buy with certain price levels. Psychological prices more often ends with the 9 digit. For example, 99.99, 9999.99, 99,999.99, etc.These kind of prices of course does not have any effect on the monkey what we are going to pay. Even if it is 999.99 we are going to pay 1000.00 & even if it is 1000.00 we are going to pay the same. 

But this of prices can psychologically hit the consumer buying power. It gives a different mind set to the buyer at the first sight. when we see a price at 10,000 it seems like big. Same time though there is only one penny difference if we see the price as 9999.99 we feel as less. That one penny difference hit the consumer mind in a large scale. 

At textiles, groceries, electrical item shops... where ever we go we can see this psychological pricing. Most of the people would not have thought about this pricing though they purchase at those pricing levels.

There are some consumers who measure the quality by the price. If the price is high they feel the product is high quality vice versa. This type of consumers always focus on the price. They do not accept the same product with same quality if there is a price variation. 

But these Kind of consumers are rare. Most of us go for low pricing. Psychological pricing can influence the consumers who go for the lowest price in a large scale.

If i put a open question "Who is the biggest cheater?" every one will come up with different answers.It can be vary person to person. But every one has a biggest cheater inside us. 

I would say the biggest cheater is our mind. While being with us it cheats several times. If we really need something or like something then our mind start to react in that way. it will give favorable options as our wish. Though something is good and if we don't like it then our mind will give hundreds of fake reasons not to go for it.

Most of the times our mind knows whats correct what is wrong. Same time it knows our likes and dislikes. In that cases in react as per our likes and dislikes. It ignores what is correct. Our mind will tend to make the correct as wrong & wrong as right.

Little girl and her father were crossing a bridge.
The father was kind of scared so he asked his little daughter,
'Sweetheart, please hold my hand so that you don't fall into the river.'
The little girl said, 'No, Dad. You hold my hand.'
'What's the difference?' Asked the puzzled father.
'There's a big difference,' replied the little girl.

'If I hold your hand and something happens to me,
chances are that I may let your hand go.
But if you hold my hand, I know for sure that no matter what happens,
you will never let my hand go.'

In any relationship, the essence of trust is not in its bind, but in its bond.

Dansela

Dansela is a most common word which comes with vesak day. Vesak is a day when the Buddhist celebrate Lord  Buddha's Birth, Enlightenment and Death. With Lanterns & Pandals Dansela also playing a major role on the vesak day. 

Those days no transport facilities as we have now. People used to travel by walking or by carts most of th time.It makes people tired. Because of that in the roads some used to give drinks or something to eat to take away the tiredness. As per my knowledge this is how the concept of Dansela derived. 

That practice only still followed by the people. Vesak days every where we can see so many dansel such as rice, drinks, biscuit, ice cream, coffee, etc, etc. Thsese are the most common once where we can see every year. 

But this time i got to know a different type of dansela & also which is very meaningful. Indeed should appreciate the person who had a thought to give such a dansela. This different dansela is from Badulla - Ridhimaaliyedda. 

All must be wondering what is this dansela. But we cannot easily guess it. That is Kerosene oil Dansela. As per the article which i read a business man doing this dansela for the sixth time for the rural area Kuruvithenna which does not have electricity. The person who did this wonderful thing is Thissa Hewawasam. 

I am not telling any wrong to other type of Dansela. But most of the time we go to such dansela not because of we did not have anything to eat. Just for fun or for a change. But this persons activity can fulfill a Real need of a person. We should hats off to such people.

Sunday Mass

Today morning I went to church at kandy – Getambe parish. Today church celebrated the mothers day. That was happened in a very nice way.

The reason for me to write about it here is the end of the mass. At the end of the mass priest requested all the mothers to come to front-alter.  After that he requested the children’s to come and stand facing their mothers face. After that he wanted to tell the below verses by the children looking at the eyes of their mother & then to wish & worship them.

“Mother, you mean a lot to me. You were in all my happiness, sadness & pains. Thanks a lot for everything and I will be there for you always. I love u a lot mother”

Unfortunately I did not go with my mom today. So I was just looking at others. Though I did not go with my mom it was a very touching moment. There was tearing in both mother & children’s eyes.

Some can see this as a foolish thing & can ask what the purpose is. Mostly we all love & respect our mom. But we never express it directly. When we express so by looking at the eyes it might make a huge happiness to the mother. Mom does not expect any return for all what she does. But when we express our love & the value on her it may make her proud & happy. I saw that happiness in their faces. After those words many were crying by hugging their son/daughter.

Than un expressing love expressing love is better. Not only to mother to whoever we love it is better to express the love & value them at least once in a way. Also appreciating the good things which is done by others will tend to increase the bond & love much more.

தெய்வம் வாழ்வது எங்கே ??? தவறுகளை உணரும் மனிதன் நெஞ்சில்......

அழகான பாடல் வரிகள். இந்த வரிக்குள் தான் எத்தனை அர்த்தங்கள் புதைந்துள்ளன. உலக மக்களை இரு வகையாக வேறுபடுத்தலாம். கடவுளை நம்புவோர் ஒரு வகை. நம்பாதோர் இன்னொரு வகை.

கடவுளை நம்புகிறோம எல்லைய என்பது முக்கியமல்ல. கடவுளை நம்புவதில், வணங்குவதில் எந்த தவறுமில்லை. என்னைப் பொறுத்தவரையில், நாம் ஒவ்வொரு சமயத்தினரும் ஒவ்வொரு பெயர் கொண்டு கடவுளை போற்றி வணங்கினாலும் கடவுள் ஒருவரே. எல்லா சமயத்தினதும் பொருள்  " நன்மை செய். தீங்கு இழைக்காதே". கடவுளுக்கு முருபெயர் "அன்பு " என்று சொல்லலாம். எங்கெல்லாம் தூய அன்பு குடிகொண்டுள்ளதோ அங்கெல்லாம் கடவுள் வாழ்கிறார்.

நம்மில் பலர் தீவிர கடவுள் பக்தர்கள் (???). ஆனால் மனது முழுக்க பொறமை, கோபம், சுயநலம், வேற்றுமை..... ஆலயம் சென்று ஆயிரக்கணக்கில் காணிக்கை செலுத்துபவர்கள் அயலவனின் பசியைப் போக்க அதில் ஒரு சதவீதமாவது செலவிட மாட்டார்கள். இதனால் என்ன பயன்? இப்படியானவர்களுக்கு உண்மையிலேயே கடவுள் அருள் உண்டா?

தூய அன்பு கொண்டு, தவறுகளை உணர்ந்து வாழும் ஒவ்வொரு மனிதன் நெஞ்சிலும் கடவுள் வீற்றிருக்கிறார். கடவுளைத்  தேடி ஆலயம் செல்கிறோம். ஆனால் நம் பக்கத்திலிருக்கும் மனிதன் நெஞ்சில் வாழும் கடவுளை நாம் காண்கிறோமா?? அன்புக்கு உருவமில்லை. அதேபோல் கடவுளும் எந்த உருவத்திலும் வரலாம். அம்மாவை தெய்வத்தின் மறு உருவமாக தரிசிப்போர் பலர். அது ஏன்? அந்த தாயின் அன்பு, அரவணைப்பு, பாசம் எல்லாம் ஒன்றாக பின்னிப் பிணைந்து தாயை கடவுளாக எண்ண வைக்கின்றது.

அதேபோல் தூய ன்பு கொண்டு வாழ்வோர் ஒவ்வொருவரிடமும் நாம் கடவுளை காணலாம். நாம் பிறரிடம் கடவுளை காண முயற்சிப்பது போல் நாமும் பிறருக்கு எதோ ஒரு வகையில் கடவுளின் உருவாக இருக்க முயற்சிப்போம்.
