Daily deal market is a hottest business concept and it can attract many customers.
What is Daily Deal market?
This is kind of a e-business. Each day the business offers deals in it's website with a huge percentage of discount. Which is mostly around 50% off from the original price. This is a tripping point in human psychology. Less price may attract so many customers. For example when a price of something remains 10,000 we may not look at it. but when the same thing which is given for 5,000 we will consider about it. Also this helps to get more business for the merchants.
I think this is a very good market strategy for the present. This is useful for both parties which is for customers and also for merchants.
As most of the people aware Anything.lk is one of the most recent daily deal website in Sri Lanka which is based on the daily deal market concept. Within few months it started to attract many customers. This shows the success in the current daily deal market. I personally see it as a very good & successful concept!!!
Sorry sis, I failed to understand. Why someone will cut off 50% from their price? Are those products old or rejected?
ReplyDeleteCompanies, Business ppl needs to promote their business, products or services. thats y they give some discounts to da customers
DeleteNo. Those are not old or rejected items. It is their business. Just check this website..
ReplyDeletehttp://www.anything.lk/
i hope if you visit this you will get an idea..
They are cutting 50% and making a loss on this particular deal. The hope is to market their brand/shop out of this. Hopefully, when the customer buys this one item at 50%, they might buy something else in the shop at the regular price or come back at a later date. It's a good concept and will work. Is it worth the 50% discount offered to customers? Only time will tell... In places like Sri Lanka, we should watch out for vendors trying to sell old or rejected items through a site like this.
ReplyDeleteThank you Lankan Kolla.
ReplyDeletegot a question, why will a company or corporate will sell their products with a 50% discount through a middle men, why not the company it self reduce their price and sell it to the end users? by Advertising the deal on any web portal the company is getting some business, but if they reduce their price and sell it directly they can have loyal end users through out their business (this is what i feel)
ReplyDeletecoz the middlemen (the daily-deal websites in general) are making a good cut as well, so i believe if the company will sell their products directly to the end user they might give an offer for may be 70 % or more.
further to the above, after a deal is been posted example. a restaurant is offering a dinner meal for 2 for 1000 LKR (50%) off price. after the deal is over the price of the same will be 2000 LKR. so don't you think by doing this the restaurant will loose their business, trust etc... coz the consumers will understand that "when the restaurant can afford for 1000 LKR they are over selling for 2000 LKR"
No offence to any businesses or to any person in general though...
