Down to earth people

It is very hard to see really down to earth people nowadays. Specially people when they get money, power etc they forget who are they and they also a same human being as others in the society. Sometimes they fail to to treat others as a human.

In day to day life if we see in our office specially who are in high management hardly we can see down to earth people. Most of the times even if they carry a small bad they want someone to carry that. I am not saying it is wrong. But the other hand why he cannot carry his own bag? ( If really heavy and needed help then fine). All that is because of his position right? I have seen some people they really act as they don't care others. They think there are the only smart people. They forget their past.

I don not like to see this type of people. Same time i have happened to see some people who are really wealthy in money, position and qualities everything. They are very polite and they know how to treat others. They never keep it their head that they are rich or in high position. Act very simple & polite. Like to meet that type of people. When you such nice people you feel from the bottom of the heart that you wanna respect them. 

But if you see a person who don't know to treat others in a good manner & who always lives on behalf of money & position, you do get a good impression or respect heart fully.

Is it Crazy or Not???

This is one thought or i would say a wish, which i have from small days. But only thinking and i have never taken a step to implement it.

I like to help others. Specially the needy people. When you go for a elders home or often children's place and when you see them them we also feel so happy. That is a different feeling. But with our expenses always it is difficult for me to help them.

One doller, rupee or dirhams. What ever just one in their currency is not a big amount to any person. For example say individually if we can collect 1 from 1000 person, that thousand will be a big money for a needy person. We can find colleges or offices with 200-500 person easily. So if everyone can contribute just with 1 coin we can do so much to the society.

I don't know how possible is this. But i think if we make the initiative and if everyone cooperate we can do it well more than what we think.

In Sri lanka we have so many needy people.Than collecting 1000 from Sri Lankans rupees 1000 from another currency would help much better. For example say if i can collect 1000 dirams or dollers as the way which i stated above i can do a good service to the needy people in my home country. This is just a wish. Please share your thoughts regarding this.

If you get a good spouse nothing is beautiful than the Marriage Life

Male or Female i would say marriage life is a turning point in both life. It is like a new life. Until that we have been brought up with parents and siblings.. We are mostly dependent on our parents before marriage. With the marriage we are starting our own new family. The rest of the life we have to spend with the spouse. That is why i said if we get a good spouse nothing is beautiful than than married life. Most of the good times in life we will be spending with our spouse.

Same time if you did not get the right person then the married life will become hell.

I am so blesses to get a good spouse who like the way i am, who understands me well and who loves and care me always. He is not only my husband. If some one ask me who is my close friend it is no one else than my husband. We both used to share everything. No hidden matters. Even if some guy flirt with me, without any fears i will first tell my better half only. Because he knows who i am and he will never suspect me.

We were friends before and then became lovers. At start both families opposed to our affair and they did not like. But later on they were ok. We made all the wedding preparations alone by our self. ( It was nice because no one their to find faults or give advice in what we do. We both decided & planned it in a way what we want ). Since that day everything we do together by helping each others. We never fought even for a single matter. I hope it will be continued life long.....

This is one story which i read & thought to share since it has a good meaning....

One day, the farmer's horse ran away, and all the neighbors gathered in the evening and said ‘that’s too bad.’
He said ‘maybe.’
Next day, the horse came back and brought with it seven wild horses. ‘Wow!’ they said, ‘Aren’t you lucky!’
He said ‘maybe.’
The next day, his son grappled with one of these wild horses and tried to break it in, and he got thrown and broke his leg. And all the neighbors said ‘oh, that’s too bad that your son broke his leg.’
He said, ‘maybe.’ The next day, the conscription officers came around, gathering young men for the army, and they rejected his son because he had a broken leg. And the visitors all came around and said ‘Isn’t that great! Your son got out.’
He said, ‘maybe.’

Lesson: you never really know in which direction progress lies. Life unfolds not always as we expect it to.

In life when some incidents happening, at that time we feel happy or sad. But there are times in future for the same incidents  we react in the opposite way. Somethings which feels good now will hurt us on a later day. So most for the things "may be" answer will be a good one. Because we do not know what will happen in the future.

'Laundry is the only thing that should be separated by color.' 

How true this sentence and what a good meaning. When laundry we should carefully handle the colors. If not colors might get mix to each other. specially with white clothes.

But in real life this is totally opposite. Most of the time when laundry people will not handle the colors carefully. But when its come to Human they used to separate them by color. Color gives only the appearance to a person. nothing else. But most of the people think color is a big thing. They used to separate the people with the color. The people who treat the black people in a bad way think being white is a grace. They never think if they were born as black if a white person insult them how they might feel that time. Always we have to think how others feel. if somethings hurts us probably it will hurt the others too. We cannot take back the word which came out from our month. We cannot take back an action what we did. Before doing something have to think twice.. thrice..

All human has same red blood. White people & black people do not have separate color blood. As humans every one should stop separating people with the skin color.

Pope Francis - Holy Thursday Celebration

This is the first Holy Thursday for Pope Francis after he elected as Pope. As most of you all aware last Thursday was Holy Thursday and  the pope Francis washed the feet of 12 young offenders including two girls and two Muslims at a Rome prison.

The Holy Thursday ceremony is usually held in a basilica in the city center and commemorates the gesture of humility believed to have been performed by Jesus Christ before his death to his 12 disciples at their last meal.Popes performing the ritual have usually washed the feet of priests.Catholic traditionalists are likely to be riled by the inclusion of women because all of Jesus' disciples were male.

The pope knelt down, washing and kissing the young prisoners' feet in the first Holy Thursday ceremony of its kind performed by a pontiff in prison, and the first to include women and Muslims

Most of the people has appreciated it also some has a fear whether he might one day be willing to open the priesthood to women. ( This is because he washed 2 females feet )

"I do this with all my heart because it is my duty as a priest, as a bishop. I have to be at your service. I love doing it because this is what the Lord has taught me," the 76-year-old Pope Francis. 

As per an article in a news paper , this was the first time a pope had washed women's feet, pope Francis had performed this type of ceremony in his native Argentina many times before becoming pope including in jails, hospitals and old people's homes.

My personal view is what he did was awesome. Pope means a catholic leader. First of all he should be an example of other priests. I think Pope Francis is doing that. It is true that Jesus Disciples were male. But it does not mean that Jesus didn't like to have female disciples or we should not include female in holy Thursday rituals. We have to move on.

I am Sure Pope Francis will be an excellent leader and he will do a good service for all the communities. I wish all the very best for him for a good service. All The very best & may God Bless you Pope Francis.

TAJ MAHAL IS A SYMBOL OF LOVE? or NOT A SIMBOL OF LOVE? - FACTS ANALYSIS

 

Taj Mahal is a magnificent monument which stands at the heart of India Agra.Also it is one of the most interconnected word with Love. Every body in the world knows Taj mahal as a symbol of love and Shahjahan build it for Mumtaz. But most of the people do not know the story behind it.

If go bit deep to to this story there are lot of confusions in this. First of all as per the history mumtaz was shahjahan's 4th wife. Some indicates that he had nothing more than the status of marriage with his other wives. Anyways shahjahan built it after Mumtaz died and She died In Her 14th Delivery ! 

Until that part it is okay and I have no confusions. But if we search more about this couple some books stated that Mumtaz is Shahjahan's 4th wife out of his 7 wives and he married mumtz's sister after she died. This was happened almost 400 years before.So we do not know the truth. We can analyses only based on the historical stories. 

In case if he married Mumtaz's sister after her death then how can we say there was a true love ?? Confusion arising at this point. We cannot measure the true love by the monuments what he build for his wife. It should be shown  in the way how he lives as well.

"You must be the change you wish to see in the world"

This is one of the popular sayings by Mahatma Gandhi. When reading such a quotes most of us will say ya its a good one. After that we will forget about it. If thousand people read this do you think out of 1000 how many people will make it to practice.

If every individual start to practice this 99% of the problems in the world will diminish. We do not prefer when other person telling something bad for us or to see a mistake from others.  But how many of us make a time to think whether we are doing the same..... if we see a mistake from others we will feel it as a big mistake. But when we do the same it will look like a small thing. That is the nature. But we should not leave it as it is. 

May be daily we can spend just 2-5 minutes to think what we did not like from others today. Which made us sad or annoyed. Then some incidents will come to our mind. Then the most important part is, afterwards we have to apply those to us and have to see. If something made us angry, annoyed or sad have to think whether have we done the same any day. Of course at least one of those things we would have done for sure anytime. Then we have understand on that day the person whom we did so also would have felt the same.. 

If all the individual start to practice this we will not do mistake by knowingly. When we do a wrong we will have the guilty feeling.

Whoever reading this, if you think this is true and if you liked it please spend few minutes of your precious time ( it can be while traveling, or when in the bed or when in the washroom) to think about own mistakes and to correct it.

Gossiping Vs Men

Normally Gossiping is a most interconnected word with woman. From long time in the society normally everyone believe (I would say everyone tells) that Woman are the once who gossip always. People say putting something in the notice board and telling to a woman both are same …

But I do not agree with this. I never say woman do not gossip. We do. As human we all have a habit of gossiping. I believe no one is excluded in that. (If someone saying I never gossip that is a utter lie)

But if we take in general everyone say mostly woman only gossip and guys do not gossip much. I will never ever agree with this. As far as I know and as far as I have seen mostly gossiping people is men. Also generally woman talks about others clothes or beauty. (I am not saying we do not speak about other matters. But mostly). But men they always gossip about some serious matters about others. (Mostly something related to others life).  It is not in one country. In general almost everyone is same.  Also it is not only the people who lives in urban areas or uneducated people. Well educated people also do the same. Specially in the offices you can see lot of this type of human behaviors.

It is not every men or woman. But if we see the majorities I will thoroughly say it is who gossip most are the men not woman.

Change in weekend

As most of you all aware in the middle east the weekend is not Saturday and Sunday. In UAE Mostly it is Friday/ Saturday and some places Thursday and Friday. But most of the private companies give only a day off  (Friday ). Some places one & half day. That half day mostly on Thursdays or on Saturdays. ( Actually you cannot call it is as half day also. Because it is more than a half day. Have to work untill 2.00 Pm).

But if you are working in government sector then your lucky. Definitely  you will get 2 days off. I heard that is also one reason why locals mostly look for jobs in government sector.For me luckily at least i am getting one and half days :) which is Thursday half day and Friday full day. 

When i was in Sri Lanka all the 7 years i worked in private sector. But still i used to get 2 days off. So after i started working in Dubai i find it difficult to manage the things in one day.. still i feel the same. ( Thursday half day, cannot take in to count because after work with the traffic and all when reaching home it is almost 4.00 pm. Only in Friday have to wash clothes, If want to cook something special have to try those, if want to go out that also have to do it on the same day. Because in the weekdays no time to do anything after work other than cooking and eating. ( Sometimes do purchasing the day to day items ). 

If we get used to it it will be ok. I find it more difficult because i am used to 2 days off sofar. At that time oneday if we go out & other day stay home and take rest :) But with the changes we cannot expect everyday the same. Just wanted to share what i feel.

I heard a rumor that Dubai government has going to implement a new rule asking the private sector also to give 2 days off. But i Don't know how reliable it is. Only thing i know is lot of people including me waiting for such a good news :)

Do you think God asking to kill people??? (Rizana Nafeek)

Few weeks before one of the most spoken topic in Sri lanka was Rizana Nafeek death. She has been executed to death by Saudi Arabia. I personally disagree with this decision . Here i am not blaming any religion or country. As per my knowledge there cannot be so many God in this world. If there is God & there should be one God. But we see him in different ways & worship him in different names & different ways as per the name of religion.

God is love & Love is God. If we take all the religion the summary is " Do good & do not do Bad. Spread love to every one" But where the love in this case? Where the forgiveness? You cannot justify this by making reasons.

I think if a person doing these kind of things by the name of God then he/she better not to follow God without ruining the name of God.

Men Vs Animal Vs Plant

We think only human have sadness & happiness & all the pain. But then what about the plants & animals.. Only thing is we can speak. so we can express all our feeling. Animals can express their feelings by making sound. But then what about plants???? If they can speak how many happiness & sorrows they might have.....

Sometimes i used to think when a pluck a flower from a tree how that tree or other flowers will feel if they can really feel so. It will be like someone separating a kid from a mother right...

Most of us including me we are eating meat. When a see a whole chicken i feel sad by thinking how much it would have been suffered when killing. but when eating i forget all & enjoy the taste.

If the plants & animals have the power to attach back ( except some animals ) i am sure all of them will together destroy the whole human.

Do the right person get the right place in the organizations??

Every single working places have promotions. Most of the employees fight for it. Because mostly every one like high position & high salary. 

Promotion time period is one of the conflicting time period in any organization. Every single person has their own talents, qualifications & expectations.

This time management should have the capabilities to select the right person for the right position. Do this really happening in our organizations?? Do the right person get what they deserve?? Do management make decisions without being partial??

Mostly what happens is the other way. Hardly the right person get the right thing. Most of the time management make partial decisions. In our day to day life we can see there are people who always find faults from others & tell that to the management. By doing that they try to become one of the favorable persons. Most of the times the people who are doing so are the once who has many faults inside them. 

But nowadays most of the company managements do not realize it. All believe verbal power than that quality of work. 

My personal concern is, promotion should not always based on the talent or the qualification of the person. The main thing is the team work & how well a person can handle the human resource. But mostly management concern is about the working capabilities. They fail to see how well they can associate with others & how well they can get the work from everyone with the good HR skills. For this the person should be down to earth.

Most of the people become big headed as soon as they get a promotion. May be they are good in work. But they are not a good team player. They do not know to motivate the fellow employees & to maintain  good relationship. A person can think i know everything & i do not need to go to others at any time. But even a chairman of the company may need the help of a normal employee at times. 

Every one should consider this & need to make a friendly working environment where every one can work as one big family. A good team work can achieve many things.

One of the worst feeling is when you pretend you don’t care about something, when really it’s all you seem to think about

After a very long time i am writing a blog. This is about a status recently which i shared in Face book. That is "One of the worst feeling is when you pretend you don't care about something when really it's all you seem to think about".

I do not know how all others feel. But for me this is very true. There are some matters which bothers our mind a lot. Meantime i know that i should not care about it & thought if i think about it nothing going to happen & will try to be with don't care policy. But it is not practical. What you think that you should not think about only will always comes to mind & disturb.

Never think twice to express a good thing

Everyone think about their future & do hard works. But whatever we do no will never know whether we will be alive in the next minute. No one can predict it. But we live with a hope that we will be alive. That is why we postpone matters in our life. There are times we want to appreciate a person or wanna say something and due to some reason we will not express it or postpone it. 

When person is alive normally people tries to dig their loopholes & always tries to find faults. But same time when he/she dies the same people who used to find fault will start to praise them. I think most of us would have experienced this kind of scenarios. What is the purpose or what is the use in telling good about a person when that person cannot hear. If can tell that same goodness when that person is alive that will make happier & also increase the bond in between any relationships. We do not loose anything by telling a goodness or appreciating others. 

Most of the time what happens was people used to find the mistakes of others easily & will never express the good thing though they realize it. We all may do that mistakes at times. What i think was always it is better to think twice before expressing a fault about a person. Because a word can hurt more than a wound. But no need to think twice to appreciate a person or express a good thing or to express the happiness. That will encourage the other person and also will make any relationship more healthier.

After work i came to my place and as usual log in to Facebook. When i was checking the home page my first attention went to a specific status of a friend. i,e "It is almost two years passed since my mom died. :(( i miss my mom" 

Mothers love is unconditional. Any one will miss the loss of mom. The reason what made me to write this post  is, because there were 12 likes for this posts. I thought the like option is only for something which we like. But after seeing this i got a huge question mark about it. That person has put some normal & funny statuses previously. But for those the total likes approximately below 10. But for this within 5 hours 12 likes. 

Also recently another friend of mine has posted regarding a funeral. For that also there were few likes. I cannot exactly remember how many. 

Do these kind of statuses can be liked? Of course you can make a comment to make that person feel better. But i have no idea what they disclose by liking this kind of statuses. Do they like a loss of a person or a sadness of another person or they likes the expression of sadness???

There is a famous saying "what goes around will come around". When some one do a wrong most of the people used to tell this. I do not know the truth in this. But up to some extent i believe in this saying. 

Though some people think that they are perfect as humans non of us are perfect. Every individual has loopholes. Some times we hurt others unknowingly by our words or actions. Cannot help for it. But there are times by knowingly we hurt others or do wrong to others. No remedy for this. If we are purposely doing a wrong to others means then it should be for some of our own benefit or selfishness. One day we will get that return somehow in any way.

I have no idea how far this is practicable. but i have seen some incidents too how people get the return one day.

Sri Lankan University Education System

When some one talking about the university education the first thing which every one asking before the studies "what about the ragging? ". That much the word ragging has been interacted with the university education. When a person enter to the university the first thing which he/she should undergo is ragging. I am not totally against for ragging. Just requesting to sing a song or telling some funny things are acceptable. I can remember still some of those things which i did as sweet memories. But physical ragging is not acceptable. This has taken out some human life's. The main reason which the rangers used to tell is " I have been ragged. So i want the same pain the others also to undergo".  Whoever the person think about others will never tell that word. He/she will think what ever the pain/ troubles they went thorough should not be undergo by others & will try to protect & help others.

Moving towards the education side, my personal opinion is it should change completely. Here specifically i am mentioning about the commerce & management faculty which i studied. Because to comment about other faculty studies i do not have a clear picture about their syllabus or education system. Mostly for Art & commerce & management faculty this is same.   

If we take commerce & management faculty the specialized degree program scheduled for 4 years. As per my knowledge if it is scheduled in a proper way & computerized 2 years more than enough. This 4 years include all the vacations, strikes, etc. When come to higher education i think vacation for nearly a month is not necessary as schools. Also the syllabus should focus more towards the current market & it should change accordingly. 

The people who got the highest marks in their advanced level examination only entering to the university. But with the way some people behave tend to think do they really educated & how they studied. I do not know whether that kind of people always like that or that change after entering to the university. With some people cannot see the professionalism at all. They behave like thugs. But i have seen many people when entering they are good & they come from rural areas. After entering in few months times they completely change. They give the priority to the other junk activities such as politics, fights & not for the education. I used to think many times why this people cannot focused only on studies. Because we enter university to study. Not to do strikes or to fight.

Currently most of the people have a bad impression about the graduates. Cannot tell a wrong about the people who has such impression. Due to the behaviors of some students any one will tend to think so. After completion of degree even if they do not get a job they do picketing. Some companies do not like to hire graduates due to this unprofessional behaviors of some graduates. For this cannot blame the market sector. The Undergraduates/graduates who were part of such cheap behaviors should take the sole responsibility. 

Basically overall the university education system should change. ( But not by introducing military training)

LOVE.............. Which kind of love is better???

Love is one of the utmost thing every one expect in life and any way its is a sweet feeling. True love will make ease so many problems in life.

Though love is only a four letter word it means a lot & cannot define Exactly this is love. This may differ person to person. The way a person show their love & also how they wanted to be love is not same. This may differ person to person.

Mainly we can categorize the way of love in 2 ways. Some people they always show and express their love. But other half they always do not express much or show off. Always they try to keep on inside. But what my opinion is love needs to be show. I am not telling the love which is not shown are fake or bad. But it is better to be show always. It will make the relationship much more stronger & your loved once more happy.

We feel happy when some one whom we love more tells somethings nice or appreciate even a small matter. Also love should not not be only in words. The main thing it needs to be shown by actions. In Most of the cases before someone going or propose us we may feel that they are in love with their actions. 

My personal opinion is, strong love should consist verbal expression plus actions. It will always increase the bond between the relevant parties. This is not only applicable for lovers or husband/wife. This will make strong any kind of relationship.
