"Compare yourself only to your previous self " which is something i always try to follow and i feel everyone should follow. As a normal human being we have a mixed with good & bad. Some have more good qualities & some got more bad qualities, also also it depends on what is good and bad in our point.

It is hard to see a satisfied and happy person. If we ask are u satisfied in your life, more than 90% of the people will say a big NO. Whats the reason. Because we easily will not get satisfied in any circumstances; major reason for that is we compare ourselves with others. We don't set a bench mark for ourselves. We always try to create a bench mark based on others.

This society also always comparing each person with another. Just say there is two good friends but one person can study well & other can't. From teacher to parents every one try to compare the person whom don't study well with the one who study well. "see your friends studying so well, but why can't you". this comparing starts when we were kids itself. So we growing up by looking at this and we also automatically adopt to that mindset and start to compare ourselves with others.

We should come over from that habit. If we stop comparing our self with others then we can feel relax & peaceful. No more tension. We know this is me & this is i want. I don't care what other person do,this is what i supposed to do. If we fix that in our mind i think we can have a happy & peaceful life. 

And major thing we always should compare our self with our previous self. Day by day we are growing not only by age, we are growing with experience and knowledge as well. Every one have flaws no one is perfect. But we should correct our bad things and we only should take the first step to become a good person.  For that we should analyse how i was & how i am & how i am going to be. If we can correct our past mistakes & takes those as a experience to our future we can have a better life.

What is the Best way to celebrate Birthday

Kids to adult most of the people like to celebrate their birthday, but the way of celebration is totally different from person to person. Some like to have a grand party by inviting all the friends, relative, neighbors,etc. Some just go to the religious place & worship their god, for another few it's just another day. And there are few who like to celebrate the birthday at a elders home or a children's home. 

Here i am going to talk about kids birthday celebrations at children's home. If you think whats special about it & why i am only talking about it, yes there is a reason. Few days back one such birthday celebration image was getting circulated in social media with mix comments and opinions. Mostly negative comments and i am not going to post that image here. Just for readers information a kid cutting the birthday cake with his/her parents at a children's home & home kids are surrounded by them and watching it. 

Now you might think why negative comments for that and what's wrong in that. Even i thought the same, why people not appreciating it. Can u guess why people are against it. The point what they say is when parents take a kid to celebrate the birthday to a home the kids who stay there get hurt and feel more abandoned.What's your opinion about that.  

I always liked when parents take their kids to a home & celebrate the birthday. Never thought in this aspect. Though it's a point to think but still i am not against it. because whoever going their for celebration going with a pure heart and with a good purpose. They are not going to hurt them. rather than wasting money on a grand party for the poeple who have everything this is much better. The kids in the home get to experience everything. Down to earth people

It is very hard to see really down to earth people nowadays. Specially people when they get money, power etc they forget who are they and they also a same human being as others in the society. Sometimes they fail to to treat others as a human.

In day to day life if we see in our office specially who are in high management hardly we can see down to earth people. Most of the times even if they carry a small bad they want someone to carry that. I am not saying it is wrong. But the other hand why he cannot carry his own bag? ( If really heavy and needed help then fine). All that is because of his position right? I have seen some people they really act as they don't care others. They think there are the only smart people. They forget their past.

I don not like to see this type of people. Same time i have happened to see some people who are really wealthy in money, position and qualities everything. They are very polite and they know how to treat others. They never keep it their head that they are rich or in high position. Act very simple & polite. Like to meet that type of people. When you such nice people you feel from the bottom of the heart that you wanna respect them. 

But if you see a person who don't know to treat others in a good manner & who always lives on behalf of money & position, you do get a good impression or respect heart fully.

Travel Attractions

Other than going for trips when we travel day to day we can see so many things and so many people in the road. But hardly we get attracted towards something and hardly something will make us to turn back and see again.

yesterday when i was going back after work around 7.00 pm i happened to see a very cute incident. I cannot exactly remember the place but somewhere in the road they have put some benches in the road side. There i saw one old couple (should be around 60's) sitting there while holding hands. They were laughing and looked like they were talking something very interesting. Hardly we can see some old couple being close like that and talking happily. It was so nice to see and i felt happy when seeing them.

Moving forward same place in another bench i saw another two old male friends. They also looked very old and still smart.One person's arms touching the other person's shoulder. They were talking to each other with gentle smile in their faces. They looked happy and relax. I was so happy to see such old people being so.

i wish if ever

yone could love each other like that even when they are old.

Is it Crazy or Not???

This is one thought or i would say a wish, which i have from small days. But only thinking and i have never taken a step to implement it.

I like to help others. Specially the needy people. When you go for a elders home or often children's place and when you see them them we also feel so happy. That is a different feeling. But with our expenses always it is difficult for me to help them.

One doller, rupee or dirhams. What ever just one in their currency is not a big amount to any person. For example say individually if we can collect 1 from 1000 person, that thousand will be a big money for a needy person. We can find colleges or offices with 200-500 person easily. So if everyone can contribute just with 1 coin we can do so much to the society.

I don't know how possible is this. But i think if we make the initiative and if everyone cooperate we can do it well more than what we think.

In Sri lanka we have so many needy people.Than collecting 1000 from Sri Lankans rupees 1000 from another currency would help much better. For example say if i can collect 1000 dirams or dollers as the way which i stated above i can do a good service to the needy people in my home country. This is just a wish. Please share your thoughts regarding this.

If you get a good spouse nothing is beautiful than the Marriage Life

Male or Female i would say marriage life is a turning point in both life. It is like a new life. Until that we have been brought up with parents and siblings.. We are mostly dependent on our parents before marriage. With the marriage we are starting our own new family. The rest of the life we have to spend with the spouse. That is why i said if we get a good spouse nothing is beautiful than than married life. Most of the good times in life we will be spending with our spouse.

Same time if you did not get the right person then the married life will become hell.

I am so blesses to get a good spouse who like the way i am, who understands me well and who loves and care me always. He is not only my husband. If some one ask me who is my close friend it is no one else than my husband. We both used to share everything. No hidden matters. Even if some guy flirt with me, without any fears i will first tell my better half only. Because he knows who i am and he will never suspect me.

We were friends before and then became lovers. At start both families opposed to our affair and they did not like. But later on they were ok. We made all the wedding preparations alone by our self. ( It was nice because no one their to find faults or give advice in what we do. We both decided & planned it in a way what we want ). Since that day everything we do together by helping each others. We never fought even for a single matter. I hope it will be continued life long.....

Pope Francis - Holy Thursday Celebration

This is the first Holy Thursday for Pope Francis after he elected as Pope. As most of you all aware last Thursday was Holy Thursday and  the pope Francis washed the feet of 12 young offenders including two girls and two Muslims at a Rome prison.

The Holy Thursday ceremony is usually held in a basilica in the city center and commemorates the gesture of humility believed to have been performed by Jesus Christ before his death to his 12 disciples at their last meal.Popes performing the ritual have usually washed the feet of priests.Catholic traditionalists are likely to be riled by the inclusion of women because all of Jesus' disciples were male.

The pope knelt down, washing and kissing the young prisoners' feet in the first Holy Thursday ceremony of its kind performed by a pontiff in prison, and the first to include women and Muslims

Most of the people has appreciated it also some has a fear whether he might one day be willing to open the priesthood to women. ( This is because he washed 2 females feet )

"I do this with all my heart because it is my duty as a priest, as a bishop. I have to be at your service. I love doing it because this is what the Lord has taught me," the 76-year-old Pope Francis. 

As per an article in a news paper , this was the first time a pope had washed women's feet, pope Francis had performed this type of ceremony in his native Argentina many times before becoming pope including in jails, hospitals and old people's homes.

My personal view is what he did was awesome. Pope means a catholic leader. First of all he should be an example of other priests. I think Pope Francis is doing that. It is true that Jesus Disciples were male. But it does not mean that Jesus didn't like to have female disciples or we should not include female in holy Thursday rituals. We have to move on.

Do you prefer to eat an Ice cream in the mid night?

Now time is almost 12 am and is cold too. I just finished enjoying an ice cream. For some people it might sound ridiculous when I say I had an ice cream in the mid night. But I hope most of the Ice cream lovers will agree with me. There is a separate feeling when you have ice cream in the mid night when there is a cold climate too. Rather I would say there is a kick.

Mostly everyone will remember ice cream on sunny days. But I prefer always J.The person who discovered ice cream should be awarded.

Though we can enjoy the taste of ice cream any time, below I have stated some occasions which ice cream can add an extra value.

v  In a silence place while going for a walk with someone special ( Ice cream cone could be most suitable in this situation )

Change in weekend

As most of you all aware in the middle east the weekend is not Saturday and Sunday. In UAE Mostly it is Friday/ Saturday and some places Thursday and Friday. But most of the private companies give only a day off  (Friday ). Some places one & half day. That half day mostly on Thursdays or on Saturdays. ( Actually you cannot call it is as half day also. Because it is more than a half day. Have to work untill 2.00 Pm).

But if you are working in government sector then your lucky. Definitely  you will get 2 days off. I heard that is also one reason why locals mostly look for jobs in government sector.For me luckily at least i am getting one and half days :) which is Thursday half day and Friday full day. 

When i was in Sri Lanka all the 7 years i worked in private sector. But still i used to get 2 days off. So after i started working in Dubai i find it difficult to manage the things in one day.. still i feel the same. ( Thursday half day, cannot take in to count because after work with the traffic and all when reaching home it is almost 4.00 pm. Only in Friday have to wash clothes, If want to cook something special have to try those, if want to go out that also have to do it on the same day. Because in the weekdays no time to do anything after work other than cooking and eating. ( Sometimes do purchasing the day to day items ). 

If we get used to it it will be ok. I find it more difficult because i am used to 2 days off sofar. At that time oneday if we go out & other day stay home and take rest :) But with the changes we cannot expect everyday the same. Just wanted to share what i feel.

I heard a rumor that Dubai government has going to implement a new rule asking the private sector also to give 2 days off. But i Don't know how reliable it is. Only thing i know is lot of people including me waiting for such a good news :)

Must place to visit in Dubai - What a beautyyyyy

After long time i have visited such a  very nice & beautiful place which is full of mind blowing flowers. What a beauty. I have no words to explain the beauty. That so called beautiful place in Dubai miracle garden which is open on Feb 14th 2013.

I got to know about this place while i was reading the khaleej times epaper. There were some photos attached to that article. After seeing that i could not wait until i visit the place. Luckily on the other day was a holiday & i was able to go & visit the place. From the entrance to end all the places are beautiful. No choice to take a photo. Because you feel like wanna take photos every where. We didn't even a leave a single place without talking a photo :). For sometimes i feel like i was in heaven. Every where flowers.. flowers.... flowers..

I was so happy that i got to see such a beautiful place which is only full of different color fantastic flowers.

Men Vs Animal Vs Plant

We think only human have sadness & happiness & all the pain. But then what about the plants & animals.. Only thing is we can speak. so we can express all our feeling. Animals can express their feelings by making sound. But then what about plants???? If they can speak how many happiness & sorrows they might have.....

Sometimes i used to think when a pluck a flower from a tree how that tree or other flowers will feel if they can really feel so. It will be like someone separating a kid from a mother right...

Most of us including me we are eating meat. When a see a whole chicken i feel sad by thinking how much it would have been suffered when killing. but when eating i forget all & enjoy the taste.

If the plants & animals have the power to attach back ( except some animals ) i am sure all of them will together destroy the whole human.

A Change in Life

After a long time i am writing a blog again. Due to some changes in life i did not get a peaceful & relax time to make a blog.

This is my first blog after i came to Dubai. Hope to continue. Now almost 2 months i am in Dubai. But it is like 2 years. I do not have any problem with the country except the climate ( it is good in these days). But still i miss something even though my husband is with me. I am sure that is my family. Because i am very much attach to them & i am like a pet for them. Really missing them.

In Sri Lanka except the clients mostly we used to work only with Sri Lankan. But here it s mix community. Mostly Indians & Filipino. Most of them are good. So far haven't met much bad people. May be in the future i will.

Another one thing also i miss here a lot. That is the food :) . Most of the restaurants food are not much spicy here ( I prefer & used to eat spicy food). So when ever eating there is no satisfaction. Only thing i am enjoying the chocolates here :D

 Any way it is better to carry on the life with the positive thought of "What ever happens, all are for good"

There is a famous saying "what goes around will come around". When some one do a wrong most of the people used to tell this. I do not know the truth in this. But up to some extent i believe in this saying. 

Though some people think that they are perfect as humans non of us are perfect. Every individual has loopholes. Some times we hurt others unknowingly by our words or actions. Cannot help for it. But there are times by knowingly we hurt others or do wrong to others. No remedy for this. If we are purposely doing a wrong to others means then it should be for some of our own benefit or selfishness. One day we will get that return somehow in any way.

I have no idea how far this is practicable. but i have seen some incidents too how people get the return one day.

Its Saturday but a blank day

Already i have mentioned in one of my previous blog i have a problem in finding the topics to write. Most of the time when i think to write something i go blank. Now also same. So just thought a write about today. But i have nothing to write about today because i did not do anything for the whole day. Most of the time i spent in my bed.

After work reached my place early morning and then next step is internet as usual. Since no chatting today was watching song for sometimes & went to bed. Again wake up around 2.30pm and did not felt hungry and also lazy to go out to buy food. Had some biscuits & then again to bed with my teddies. 

After that could not sleep. But just been in bed till about 5.30 and then had a bath & went to church. After dinner now again in internet until go to bed.

Just a Thought...

Most of the times i wanted to blog something. But i do not come up with a topic what to write. Today also i was in the same mindset and just thought to write about this.

Life never be the same. There are many periods/situations in every individual life. In our day to day life we meet and associate with so many people. When we are small except the family we know very few people. The first step in our life to the social life is, entering the pre-school/school. From that day itself we meet so many friends & new people in our life. Later on work.

If we think for a minute with those people whom we met so far how many we remember and keeping in touch. Time to time we have some close people in our life specially friends. Sometimes we think we never be apart & will be good friends always. But situations will make a separation. In that case what we do? mostly we all think where ever we go/ what ever happens we will be in touch & will be good friends. For few days we will miss & be sad. But except very few we will forget the others after sometimes. 

Again we will meet new friends with new life. Like wise life goes on. We can never predict what will happen next. But whatever happens of course we can never forget some people in our life. There the few who will make foot prints. It can be in both good and bad ways. Some we will remember with sweet memories. There will be another few we will remember with bitter experience or with a lesson. 

Most of us have lot of friends. Sometimes i used to think though we have so many friends & so many people to talk, how many are real people in that. Most of the people will be with us only in the happiness. You can see a good friend only when the time of a trouble or sadness. At happy times or when a person is free they always have time for others. But with those how many are there who will make a sacrifice or who can spend a minute with their busy schedule. When a person is free they always have time to think about others. But only a true friend or whoever loves you truly only will always have time on behalf of us at any hard times. 

If i make a friends list it will be very long. But if make a TRUE friends list it will very few. But i am happy @least there are few true people in my life whom i can trust always who will be there in every moments of life.

Love at first sight

There is no one specific definition for love. Every one will define it in various ways. As humans all of us need love for a happy life. First of all we experience the love of our parents and then  siblings, relatives, friends and so on. We get loved by various people in our life.

In that, the role of soul mate plays a huge part in life. After marriage the husband & wife becomes one. Two souls combines together. It is the very stable relationship in our life. Until the death we are going to live & share the whole life with our spouse. In that case selecting the life partner is not easy. To live a happy & a peaceful life there should be a very good understanding in between each other. Without getting to know a person fully, can never rely on that person. 

We can see lot of first sight love. I am not saying all the first sight love are unsuccessful or fake. There are successful & true once as well. But what i think is the first time if we see a person it cannot be true love, it is infatuation or just a opposite sex attraction. Obviously it is because of the look of the other person. At the first sight we cannot see the personality. 

In my point of view true love does not require the look. If the person is good & true then what else needed?

The success of first sight love also depends on the understanding of each other.

Infertility & Divorce

I thought to write about this after hearing an incident from a friend of mine. Generally when we talk to friends so many things will be shared. Likewise recently when i was talking to a friend of mine she was telling me about her sister & the problem what she facing currently. 

She has already told me that her sister & brother in law had the affair for 8 years before marriage. They have married about 3 years back & have no kids yet though they have tried so many medicines. Because of that they have both have problems always nowadays & it moved up to divorce.

When she told that, what i thought was what happened to the love what they built from so many years? What happened to the understanding & the bond? I agree that if get married all will like to have kid/kids. But unfortunately some cannot have that. Of course any one will feel sad. But cannot have a child is a reason for divorce? None of them can be blame for it. Its none of their fault. Also i do not think the only purpose of marriage is to have a kid. The success in marriage is understanding the spouse & being together in all the happiness & sadness. 

If you do not have a kid & if really want a one you can adopt a child. To whoever born all are kids. No need to differentiate them. We can treat an adopted child as our own. But all does not like that. Nowadays there are so many ways & medicines to cure infertility. Still if all unsuccessful i do not think divorcing the partner is correct. At a time like that all will blame especially the lady. But that is one of the time the spouse can show the real love & caring. Without ignoring if he/she can treat her husband/wife in the same way that is greater than having a child.

One God Forever

Does God Exist? Some people have this question on their mind. Whatever the question only two answers related to it. Either God exist or he is not. Whether you are an atheist or a theist all people live with some hope, some faith. 

With my experience & faith i strictly believe in god. God exist in the world. We have many religions in this world. All the religion see & worship the god in different ways. For example Islamic people they do believe in Allah. As a christian i do believe & worship Jesus. 

If some one ask how the god will be i do not have a clear answer for that. I do not know how god is and whether physically he is alive. But than all the things there is some power. I do believe where ever the true love, or kindness exist there will be god. God is love. Love is god. God is a forgiver.  

Any one can ask if god is love then why we are going to church or temple to worship the god. Those are the places which is specifically dedicated to represent the existence of god. It does not mean god will only be there. We go there just to listen the word of god. Most of us feel a peace, relax and a special mind satisfaction when you go to such religious places. Through preaching we can get to know many things. There are many people who changed their life in a good manner by listing to the preaches. Also many can pray as one family. 

As i stated i strictly believe in god. But i have a very big doubt on the existence of many gods as the way we practice. For example as per Christians god is Jesus, as per Islamic god is Allah. What i think is there is only one god. That's is why i stated above i do not have an idea in which way god exist. As per my knowledge and believes people only differentiated the religions & god in many ways. We all follow what some people differentiated long ago. But our mind do not accept it easily. Because from small age we used to see the god in a particular way. Though i say there is only one god i also do believe in Jesus. If some one asked to change the religion i will never do it. That is our mind set. We do not want to give up our faith. 

What ever the religion we follow, whoever we worship.. the summary of all the religion is "Do good. not wrong".  None of the religious promote the bad. All the religions are a way/practice to direct the people in a good manner. All promote the love, kindness, helping others, etc. That why we say the people who practice & follow the religion will not go in a wrong way. If i say in another word the person who follow & practice the religion properly & truly will make less mistakes.
